Be a part of Celebrate Texas!
Celebrate Texas is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the uniqueness of Texas and promoting the events that recognize and honor all Texans who have had a part in building our great state. We accomplish this by educating students and the general public regarding Texas Independence Day and the history of Texas and its people!
Current Needs:
Website Coordinator - Our web coordinator will handle search engine optimization (SEO), write, manage and edit content. Other tasks include assisting with social networking, working with committee members on online content, implementing website redesigns, organizing projects, maintaining calendar of events, maintaining links to sponsors and keeping website information current.
Website Content Contributors - Our content contributors will write and edit promotional pieces and post event recaps to be published on our website. Every event we hold needs to be chronicled and uploaded to our website.
Regional Liaisons - Celebrate Texas has short and long range plans to involve individuals and organizations from every county in Texas in our Celebrations! Regional Liaisons will promote Texas Independence Day celebrations in their regions and keep our calendars updated. Our Regional Liaisons will also help recruit delegates and participants in our Texas Independence Parade as well as other events in our Capital and other historic sites.
5K Race Volunteers - If you aren't planning on running, come help us with the race! Help with water stations, t-shirt distribution, course planning, etc.
Photographers / Videographers - Help us chronicle and preserve our events with still and video images. Video and photos will be used on our website and in future promotional materials.
Other Volunteers - are needed to help with our golf tournament, Alamo Defenders Remembrance Ceremony, Memorial Service for the Veterans of the Texas Revolution and our Student Contests.
For more information or to volunteer, contact Rowdy Smith . Please use the word "VOLUNTEER" in your subject line.
God Bless Texas.
